Cavern 32’ to Complex Junction Chamber beneath via cascades

This area makes for a more interesting tackle-free route to the Complex Junction Chamber, and seems passable in wet weather.

However, caution must be exercised as lots of the route is loose and the climbs are awkward.

Particular care needs to be taken at the top of the upper cascade, as there's always lots of loose material here.

Pitches

16m will allow for a handline for all the lower section of the chimney approach (3 anchors). The chimney is free-climbable for confident climbers.

It is possible to reduce the rope requirements by cutting from the series of drops across to the window accessed via the complex junction chamber. This alternative to the series of drops can be done with just 15m of rope, though not recommended for those not confident with SRT as the dismount can be strenuous and the climb into the complex junction chamber from the window is somewhat exposed.

Wet Weather

It may still be possible to do all the pitches but the streamway following the downstream pitches will become impassable. It may be possible to access the downstream sump via the alternative route (through the long gallery) under these conditions, although this is unconfirmed.

The route down from Cavern 32 to the complex junction chamber via the squeeze and cascades remains passable in wet weather. Access to the Gour Chambers is also unaffected.
