Keep WELL clear of pitch bases when there are people above - some of the walls and floors which don’t look loose are very loose, and large rocks can be sent down with little warning.

Rigging

There is enough in situ rigging to allow a pull-through. Oliver Lloyd Aven can be pulled-through in two stages, with room on a ledge for several people to land carefully before pulling through the remaining 7m.

Unindented items follow the main route to Notts II, while indentation shows offshoots and variations.

• (SRT Kit off) Straightforward to Ill Bill’s, via awkward crawls and climbs down
• Ill Bill’s: obscure thread on L, obscure P-bolt in ceiling.
• At base, head back under pitch head to large wide bedding in roof of Incredibles.
  • Alternatively, go in opposite direction from base of pitch (SRT KIT OFF for conservation) to view Haywagon Passage
    • Slime Aven is accessed by going right at the fork in Haywagon Passage, then R again at first inlet.
• Pitch is on R (thread on L begins rigging). 7m down, swing into bolt traverse along rift.Traverse leads to Heavenly Joys Aven.
  • Keep L and traverse along Incredibles Roof to access Tango Passage
  • Across pitch head is Festers Passage
  • At floor of Incredibles is suicidal hole connecting to Oliver Lloyd Aven
• At base, head R to T-Junction via narrow crawl, then L (downstream) into On the Other Hand.
  • The other (tighter way) at the base of Heavenly Joys is the squeeze to a pool
  • Heading R at the following T-Junction is On the Upper Hand
• Follow for 70m, passing hole on R at 20m.
  • Hole on R leads immediately into Tossup Aven
• Passage lowers and eases to 2m climb down to T-Junction - go L (downstream).
  • R (upstream) is the beginning of Pleasures of the Palm
• Squeeze at varying levels for 30m to Oliver Lloyd Aven - small ledge 20m down, large ledge 7m further down leads to bolt traverse to L (or R, facing wall), final 7m descent from there.
• Exit aven, head downstream for 85m to meet Notts II
